    I work at the heart of trade finance at one of Türkiye's established participation banks, not only running processes but designing how they could work better.

    I spotted the opportunity and built the solution

    When I saw that critical parameters on remittance letters, such as the exporter's bank reference and SWIFT code, were being read and entered by hand, I treated it as an improvement opportunity. I designed a browser-based, OCR and AI-powered analysis flow; in tests on 23 publicly available sample remittance letters it extracted these parameters with 99% accuracy, and by presenting it to my unit manager, I brought a new perspective on how the process could run more effectively.

    I took an AI startup from idea to the field: customer discovery, market validation, PoCs and the Tech Istanbul jury.

    Details
    • Tech Istanbul: I led the application that got us into the Tech Istanbul Pre-Incubation Program; Comcai was one of 70 startups selected from 370, and I delivered all of the jury presentations.
    • Customer discovery: I met one-on-one with 25+ companies to sharpen target segments and product requirements.
    • PoCs and partnerships: I ran proof-of-concept processes with 4 companies, building pilot partnership opportunities. The companies I worked with included Martı Tag, İdefix, Reeder Teknoloji and Atlasnet.
    • Product and team coordination: I bridged business and technology teams so customer needs translated accurately into the product.
    • Market and competitor analysis: I built the positioning by analyzing the Turkish and global market and competitors such as CallMiner, Gong and Observe.AI.
